« Party Perfection! »
The party season is when we most want to have fun, but it can be a stressful time for the hostess.
Get ahead by making a selection of bite-sized nibbles in advance. They can be garnished or reheated at the last minute, while you keep your cool and get on with enjoying the party.
Make sure you welcome your guests with a drink – large jugs of sparkling wine-based cocktails are ideal. Provide a non-alcoholic alternative for drivers and top up glasses as you circulate among your guests. But don’t leave it too long before you bring out the first plates of canapés – your welcome drink will have stimulated everyone's appetites!
Allow 6-8 canapés per person and ensure there are plenty of vegetarian options. Try these for starters:
- Thinly slice some rare roast beef – or buy it ready sliced – dab with The English Provender Co Hot Horseradish, sprinkle with rocket and roll up
- Fill a large platter with ready cooked king prawns arranged around a dish of The English Provender Co Seafood Sauce
- Make – or buy – miniature brushettas, top thin slices of ripe brie and a touch of The English Provender Co Sweet Tomato and Chilli Chutney
- Fill mini pastry cases with Caramelised Red Onion Chutney, top with a sliver of goat’s cheese and gently warm until the cheese is melting.
And when the last guest has gone, raise a glass to The English Provender Co – your helping hand in the kitchen!
